Premarital / Early-Stage Couples

Premarital Counseling
Are you anxious about petty bickering, conflicting family pulls or differing values; worried about sexual incompatibility; feeling frequently unseen or misunderstood; or simply looking to strengthen the foundations of your relationship?

The early stages of a relationship can be both exciting and stressful. As two individuals slowly learn to understand one another and to negotiate their differences, they often feel confused by conflicting feelings of connection and alienation, togetherness and isolation.  Counseling is an invaluable resource at this stage in your relationship.

In our counseling sessions we will:

  • Identify negative habits and relational patterns before they become entrenched;
  • Learn the language of responsiveness, so as to stave off emotional starvation and distancing;
  • Explore family-of-origin issues to better understand yourself and your partner;
  • Strengthen communication and conflict-resolution skills.

Early-Stage Couples Counseling
Are you concerned whether yours is a healthy and viable relationship; or
whether you are sufficient compatible and/or ready for commitment?

In our counseling sessions we will:

  • Help you examine more objectively your relational dynamics;
  • Help you explore your compatibility and/or readiness for commitment.
